We were given the task of designing a ballroom that would showcase what makes our organization successful in New England. We knew that we wanted to have a patriotic theme to show our strong history as a company in the New England market, but we were unsure of how we wanted to present that to the rest of the company. We were on an extremely tight budget and didn’t have a lot of time to spend on all of the details that could ultimately make or break the event. So, we decided to contact Sandy Gans from Sandy Toes Creative and see what she could work up for us. From the start, Sandy gave us design ideas, floor plan drawings, decoration & the technical needs we would be faced with.
In the end, she took our (very few) ideas and created a giant Patriotic / Colonial room filled with old black and white pictures of our facilities and people from our New England market. We had individuals dressed up in Colonial costumes and hats. The wait staff wore Colonial hats and served traditional New England style foods. We had Vice Presidents from the company dress up in Colonial Costumes and act like minute-men in a skit. There was red, white, and blue splashed throughout the entire room. We even got the crowd to participate in a group activity where they would win Lobster Dinners delivered to their homes (a typical New England style meal). Our event was an incredible success due to the advantage we gained by hiring Sandy Toes Creative.
Throughout the entire process, Sandy was extremely professional, creative, and such a delight to work with. She listened to our ideas and gave suggestions that would enhance our event. She was respectful of our tight budget and was able to maximize the look and feel of our event without intruding on our budget. I can’t thank Sandy enough for lending her expertise to our event. It would not have been the same without her...in fact, it wouldn’t have even come close!
